The client asked us to come up with a spoof product launch as an April Fools Day prank. The final idea was a pair of smart glasses with a spirit level, topiary templates, weather info and various other high-tech features. We created hero assets to be shared across social media and various GIFs to be used in an eDM, all leading to a landing page which revealed the joke at stihljk3smartglasses.com.au
The video was shot as a simple POV using a GoPro head mount, and we used motion tracked graphics to simulate the features of the glasses. The client loved the execution and we generated a lot of engagement from users, many of whom wished the product was real!
